"This year there fell a great snow about 1st December which by reason of almost constant frost lasted till about the middle of February without any great alteration. At London the river was frozen so hard that incredible numbers walk't upon the ice and in many places frost and snow continued much longer". 

1805
"A woman named Vessey from Stallingborough married one John Bowerbank. They both died in Barton Workhouse, he was 61yrs in 1804 when he married Mary Drake before Vessey, what trouble some women will go to to marry."
