Minutes of Cherry Willingham Parish Council's Employment Committee.
Held at The Vine Centre on Tuesday 18th May 2021 at l0am.
Present: Cllr Palmer (Chairman), Cllr Bucke, Cllr Burge, Cllr Brylewski, Cllr Fleetwood, Cllr Mellor and Cllr Scott.
Christine Hodgson (RFO) and Gill Shaw (Parish Clerk)
No Members of the Public were in Attendance
1. To elect a Chairman
Cllr Palmer wished to step down from Chairman.
Cllr Burge nominated Cllr Fleetwood who accepted the nomination and seconded himself.
Cllr Mellor nominated Cllr Bucke who accepted the nomination and was seconded by Cllr Palmer.
It was RESOLVED to elect Cllr Bucke as Chairman (5 votes to 2).
Cllr Bucke became the Chairman and duly took over the meeting.
2. To elect a Vice-Chairman
Cllr Brylewski nominated Cllr Palmer who accepted the nomination and it was seconded by Cllr Bucke.
Cllr Burge nominated Cllr Fleetwood who accepted the nomination and seconded it himself.
It was RESOLVED to elect Cllr Palmer as Vice-Chair (5 votes to 2).
Cllr Palmer became the Vice-Chair
3. To elect a member to be on the Finance and General Purpose Committee
Cllr Mellor proposed Cllr Burge and was seconded by Cllr Fleetwood.
Cllr Bucke proposed Cllr Brylewski and was seconded by Cllr Scott.
It was RESOLVED that Cllr Burge represent the committee on the Finance and General Purpose Committee.
4. Apologies, including to accept them and the reasons for absence, where given.
None.
5. Councillors declaration of interest, gifts and hospitality
None.
6. To receive the notes of the Employment Committee meeting held on 12th March 2021 and agree for it to be signed as a true record
It was RESOLVED to accept the notes and they were duly signed as a true record.
7. TO RESOLVE TO MOVE INTO CLOSED SESSION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PUBLIC BODIES (ADMISSION TO MEETINGS) ACT 1960 DUE TO THE CONFIDENTIAL NATURE OF THE BUSINESS TO BE DISCUSSED IN RELATION TO THE FOLLOWING MATTERS.
It was unanimously RESOLVED to move into Closed Session.
