Minutes of Cherry Willingham Planning Committee Meeting held 

0n 9th June 2022 at the Millennium Hall, 16 High Street, Cherry Willingham

 

Present: Cllr D Bates, Cllr T Bridgwood, Cllr S Brylewski, Cllr I Lacy, Cllr M Scott

 

No members of the public present

 

The meeting commenced at 7.00pm

 

01-22 Election of Chair. To elect the Chair of the Planning Committee for the forthcoming year 2022-2023.

  • RESOLVED to choose Cllr Bridgwood to be Chair.

 

02-22 Election of Vice-Chair. To elect the Vice-Chair of the Planning Committee for the forthcoming year 2022-2023.

  • RESOLVED to choose Cllr Lacy to be Vice-Chair.

 

03-22 Apologies, welcomes and attendance, including accepting apologies and the reason for absence where given.

Apologies received from Cllr Angela Burge who had extended her holiday. RESOLVED to accept apology and reason for absence.

 

04-22 To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Member’s Register of Interests. Members declaring interests should identify the agenda item and type of interest being declared. To note dispensations given to any member of the council in respect of the agenda items listed below.

None received.

 

05-22 To receive the notes of the last meeting held on 8th May 2022 and agree for them to be signed as a true record.

RESOLVED for notes to be accepted and signed accordingly.

 

06-22 To elect a member to sit on the Finance and General Purposes (F&GP) Committee.

RESOLVED to elect Cllr Bridgwood to sit on the F&GP Committee.

 

07-22 To consider any applications submitted for comment: 

 

  • REF – 144978 had been received for proposed signage for the new Dog Park on Hawthorne Road.

Following discussions at the meeting it was agreed that our response is as follows:

‘The design of the sign is acceptable however the size of the sign is not appropriate to fit into the existing street scene. We feel that the size of the sign is obtrusive and will create a detrimental aspect for the residents who live on the opposite side of the road’. (ACTION – CLERK)

 

08-22 Any matter for report and notice of items to be included in the next agenda.

Any outstanding planning applications.


 

09-22 To set a date for the next meeting.

To be confirmed as week commencing 4th July 2022.
