Minutes of Cherry Willingham Parish Council’s 

Leisure & Amenities Committee held on Monday 4th August 2025  at 19:00 in the Millennium Hall.

  1. To note and record apologies and absences

  1. To receive any declarations of interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 and consider any requests for dispensations in relation to Disclosable Pecuniary Interests or other interests as outlined in the Council’s Code of Conduct.  None

 

  1. To receive the minutes of the L & A Committee meeting held on 6th June 2025  and agree for them to be signed as a true record.  Resolved

 

  1. To revie the progress of the Zip Wire for St Paul’s play area. 

Proludic attended 4th August to start the installation.   Grant report to be updated accordingly ACTION: Admin Assistant

 

  1. Items relating to St Paul’s Play Park

I.  To discuss and resolve any necessary action following playground inspection.

     Bins are full/no QR code on new bin.   

     Sensory path - decking areas rotting.  Request quote for repair/replacement

     Mound - thorny weeds and gapping due to dry weather conditions (above tunnel)

     Air Skier - moving in ground.  Contact manufacturers to arrange a visit

     Pigeon poo on slides - contact manufactures for possible solution

ACTION: Admin Assistant

 

Ii.  To discuss purchase of Inclusive Twister and You & Me swing.  

 

                  Quote received from Kompan.  Funding/grant options to be explored by sub              

                  committee (to be confirmed at FC).         Resolved

 

           Items relating to Laburnum Drive Play Park 

I.  Surface damage (Space Disk) - Quattro Wet Pour to be applied (weather permitting) 

 

  1. To discuss actions relating to the burial ground.

  2.  Memorial Wall - include question in next village survey 

  3. Further work that may be required on headstones - Drapers have been contacted to confirm the headstones for repair

  4. Additional bulbs for planting - Resolved 

 

 

 

  1. Items in progress to consider and agree to any actions as appropriate 

 

  i.  Cllr A Burge will confirm date for fitting.  Cargo net will be inspected post    

                         Completion   ACTION: Cllr A Burge 

 

ii.  To discuss ideas for additional items of play equipment

Proposed that some of the budget is reserved for repair/replacement of surfaces.

  1. Weekly Rota for playground inspections
