RESOLVED unanimously Cllr A Burge

 

  1. To elect a Vice-chair

  1. To note and record apologies and absences

  1. To receive any declarations of interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 and consider any requests for dispensations in relation to Disclosable Pecuniary Interests or other interests as outlined in the Council’s Code of Conduct.

  1. To receive notes of the Village Improvement Committee Meeting held on Thursday 8th May 2025 as a true record.

RESOLVED unanimously to approve the minutes as a true record.

 

  1. To elect a member on to the Finance & General Purposes Committee

RESOLVED unanimously to elect Cllr S Bates

 

  1. To discuss and approve any necessary action with the Project of Entrance Gates

DEFFERED.

 

  1. To discuss and approve any necessary action to extend the warrant on the speed radar.

RESOLVED unanimously to not renew the warranty to the speed radars.

 

  1. To discuss and approve any necessary action relating to the Village Flag.

RESOLVED unanimously to obtain a quote for a design and printing of a village flag.

 

  1. To discuss and approve any necessary action relating to banners and table cloths.

RESOLVED unanimously to obtain a quote from Signs Express for a tall banner.

 

  1. To discuss and approve any necessary action to purchase anti-virus software.

RESOLVED unanimously to continue to use the free software Avira.

  1. Gilbert's pond update. (information board)

RESOLVED unanimously to take the tired interactive, information board away.

  1. Speed watch. (Cllr Bates)

As of 12th March, the Speed Watch team had completed their milestone 500th session. They have since carried out a total of 512 sessions, with 2.8% of vehicles recorded exceeding the speed limit.

The next National Speed Watch Day is scheduled for 11th July and will include four sessions.

  1. Litter picking. (Cllr Fleetwood)

The team of litter pickers are still regularly litter picking

  1. To discuss and resolve any items relating to the Allotments

    1. update on plot occupancy and allocation of vacant plots.

There is currently one plot for the Clerk to still allocate.

  1. To discuss and approve any necessary action relating to ’Plot 36’.

This had been resolved at the June FC to terminate the tenancy with plot 36 and to reallocate.

  1. Compliance of cultivating tenants plots

Cllr B Robinson, & Cllr A Burge to go and do a spot check

 

  1. To receive a report on Tanfaine.

Nothing to report at this time.

 

  1. To record and resolve any maintenance issues with regard to VIC assets.

RESOLVED unanimously for the Clerk to action any cleaning of village asset as and when 

necessary.

 

  1. Matters for report and future agenda items.

Highways

 

  1. To confirm a date of the next VIC meeting.

RESOLVED unanimously for the next VIC meeting to be on the 4th September 2025.
