The next meeting of the Leisure and Amenities Committee will be held in the Millennium Hall on Monday 10th June 2024 at 19:00  It is expected that all members will make every effort to attend.  Any member not able to attend should pass their apologies to either the Chair of the Committee - or the Clerk.

 

Prior to the start of the meeting a public forum will ordinarily, of no more than 15 minutes, be held.  The public may address the council on current matters or issues that may become future agenda items.

Agenda

 

  1. To elect a Chair for the L&A Committee

  2. To elect a Vice-Chair for the L&A Committee

  3. To note and record apologies and absences.

  4. Declarations of interest. To record declarations of interest by any member of the council in respect of the agenda items listed below.

To note dispensations given  to any member of the council in respect of the agenda items listed below.

  1. To receive the minutes of the L & A Committee meeting held on the 29th April  2024 and agree for them to be signed as a true record.

  2. To elect a member of the L&A Committee to the Finance & General Purposes.

  3. To resolve which equipment to purchase using the FCC Community Action Fund .

  4. To discuss and agree sanctions with a joint application for a the DEFRA grant

  5. To discuss any matters relating to trees and approve any necessary action if required.

 

St Pauls & Laburnum

 

  1. Matters relating to Laburnum Drive Playing Field & St Pauls play area.

  2. To discuss and resolve any actions following the Annual Play inspection.

  3. To discuss the response from EKM and their repairs.

  4. To discuss and resolve a schedule and who to carry out CWPC internal play inspections.

 

Items in progress

 

  1. Items in progress: to consider and agree to any actions as appropriate.

  2. To receive a report following the topple testing within the Burial Ground

  3. To discuss the progress of the cargo net to complete the mound project.

  4. Painting of play equipment

  5. To discuss and agree any further expenditure for post erection of signage at the Burial ground, Laburnum Drive Playing Field and St Paul’s Play Area.

  6. Abu Dhabi Play Equipment St Paul Plays Park

 

  1. General: Any other matters to report for inclusion in the next agenda.
