  1. To elect a minute taker

Resolved to elect Cllr. Bates as minute taker

  1. To note and record apologies and absences

No apologies

  1. To receive any declarations of interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 and consider any requests for dispensations in relation to Disclosable Pecuniary Interests or other interests as outlined in the Council’s Code of Conduct.

None received.

  1. To receive the notes of the last meeting held on Tuesday 10th September 2024 and agree for them to be signed as a true record.

Unanimously so agreed.

  1. Neighbourhood Plan – Grant Application

The Chairman reported that until that morning he had not received a detailed response from the appointed Consultant, Steve Kemp, so he had reminded him and received a brief report that the answers done so far read well and only a few bite needed amending. He can put the financial details in. He offered this Thursday to go through the proposal on a Zoom call. Cllr. Burge reminded the committee that meetings cannot be held on an ad hoc basis as all meetings must go through the clerk to allow 3 working days for the summons to go out. It was decided that anyway this Thursday was too soon so it was agreed that the Chairman would go back to Mr Kemp and ask if he could do next Thursday as a face to face meeting. As there are just a few amendments to make it was hoped that we would still be able to hit the target of submitting the application before the end of the year.

  1. To discuss the following planning applications

  2. 5 Hawthorn Avenue

Original application was for a house, re-submitted as an eco bungalow. No objections in principle as is an appropriate design, but the comments are that it increases density, lack of parking and may set a precedent for tandem development

  1. 64 Lady Meers Road

  1. Land off Hawthorn Road

A revised plan re-configuring the plot size

  1. Any matter for report and notice of items to be included in the next agenda

Need to make sure that we do not miss any planning applications,  WLDC still sending items with incorrect clerk details. Still have not received the revised Marina plan.

Noted that an application on Waterford Lane to demolish the wooden building had been withdrawn. Is this a ‘heritage’ building?

  1. To confirm the date of the next meeting

Thursday next week – to be confirmed

7th January 2025

Meeting closed 19:42.
