Fundraising Minutes May 2024

Minutes of Cherry Willingham Parish Council’s 

Fundraising Sub-Committee held on Thursday 16th May 2024 at 10:00 in the Millennium

Present: Cllr R Pitchford, Cllr Mrs Burge, Cllr M Palmer, Cllr K Mellor, Cllr A Burge, Cllr S Bates, Cllr R Houghton & Mrs D Pitchford.

 

  1. To elect a minute taker.

RESOLVED unanimously for The Clerk to take the minutes.

 

  1. To note and record apologies and absences.

Apologies received from Cllr J Robinson.

 

  1. To record declarations of interest by any member of the council in respect of the agenda items listed below.

Members declaring interests should identify the agenda item and type of interest being declared

To note dispensations given to any member of the council in respect of the agenda items listed below.

  1. To receive and approve the minutes from 04th April 24 as a true record.

RESOLVED unanimously to approve the minutes as a true record.

 

  1. To recommend to Full Council the Fundraising Sub-committee progress to a Committee.

RESOLVED unanimously to recommend to Full Council to make the Fundraising Sub-committee 

 

  1. To review and approve the Fundraising terms of reference.

RESOLVED unanimously to approve the Fundraising of Terms of Reference with the recommend changes 

 

  1. Future events.

    1. Fun Dog Show. 

There is a road closure in place either side of the event The Clerk emailed Highways for clarification regarding access. CWPC has been ensured there will be access for the event to take place. The RFO has now ordered the Portaloos and these will be delivered on the Friday prior to the Event taking place.

Cllr S Bate has devised the registration forms for each category and asked everyone to draft  a timings program of how the event will run.

Cllr S Bate and the Clerk to create a program ahead of the Fun Dog Show.

The Clerk to put a post on social media calling for more Stall holders.

  1. Produce Show.

RESOLVED unanimously to approve the suggested categories with the suggested amendments to create an advert for the Cherry Newsas this will need to be done before the next Fundraising meeting. Further details of this will be discussed at the next Fundraising meeting.

Suggestions were made on who to ask to judge at the Produce Show, and it was agreed more than one should judge this year's Produce Show as growth of interest is expected in the event.

  1. Christmas Lights.

The VIC are currently dealing with lights and the purchase of what is required for this year's event. Details for this event to be discussed at future meetings

  1. Christmas Quiz.

  1. Future Event 2025

    1. Gala

DEFERRED until the next Fundraising meeting

  1. Afternoon Tea

DEFERRED until the next Fundraising meeting.
