Human Resources Committee held on Wednesday 17th April 2024 at 14:00 in the Millennium

  1. To Elect a minute taker.

  1. To receive the notes of the meeting held on the 10th January 2024 and agree for them to be signed as a true record

  1. To discuss the possibility of recruitment of an Assistant for the Clerk and title and recommend to full Council

The need for an assistant was discussed and it was agreed there was a need, and agreed that Admin Assistant should be the title

  1. To discuss and agree hours of assistant and recommend to full Council

It was agreed that the hours be 8 per week on grade 5, this is within existing budget

  1. To discuss the Job Description of the Assistant and recommend to full Council

Job description previously circulated agreed with minor amendments

Resolved to move to closed session in accordance with the public bodies(admission to meeting) act 1960 due to the confidential nature of the business to be discussed in relation to the following matters

  1. To discuss the Clerks 6 month Probation

It was agreed to recommend to full Council that the Clerk be confirmed in post following a successful probation period
